Papers, Please sole developer, Lucas Pope, has released a small demo for his new 1-bit project –¬†Return of the Obra Dinn. The demo is downloadable through the game’s website.

“This is a very early playable build,” Pope explains on his website. “There’s not much content and it hasn’t been tested.” Don’t expect everything to work, but the demo can give you a rough idea on how the full game will look and play once it’s done.

In Return of the Obra Dinn you are an insurance investigator (how exciting!) that is tasked with boarding the Obra Dinn and recovering the captain’s logbook to find out what happened to the cargo and crew.

There’s still no release window, but as of now Return on the Obra Dinn is a PC exclusive.
