Capcom is remaking the original Resident Evil title for modern consoles and PC. Technically, it’s an HD remake of the 2002’s GameCube remake, which is considered to be the better version anyway.
This new version will feature enhanced textures, 5.1 surround sound and better resolutions. In fact, the remake will let players switch between the classic 4:3 and the modern 16:9 ratio. The new remake will also support improved controls as an alternative to the now infamous tank control scheme.
Resident Evil purists can of course choose to play with the original 4:3 ratio and tank controls, and turn them on and off at any point during play.
