Halo 5 was been officially announced by Microsoft and 343 Industries. The next chapter in the FPS series was also given the official name of Halo 5: Guardians, and the official release window of fall 2015.
Bonnie Ross, general manager at 343 Industries, was the one to make the actual announcement. Accroding to her, Halo 5: Guardians is being developed using a brand new engine to be an even bigger afford than Halo 4 was. While some core elements of the Halo series will make their way to the new entry, Ross promised a lot has been retooled in order to create an experience “worthy of next-gen.”
Microsoft has a lot more Halo to show us on the E3 2014 stage, during its live media briefing, but in the mean time you can enjoy this new art piece, teasing what’s to come:
