Blackmore is a new steampunk adventure game on Kickstarter, which is already something many are willing to get behind. The fact that this game is being made by the same people who worked on the classic cyberpunk adventure Snatcher is just icing on the video game cake.

Jeremy Blaustein, localizer for Snatcher,Metal Gear Solid and the Silent Hill series has teamed up with character designer Satoshi Yoshioka and composer Motoaki Furukawa to form iQiOi Co.

The studio’s first game is Blackmore, a classic point-and-click adventure game set in a 2.5 isometric environment. The game follows Emma Blackmore and her robot friend Descartes, as the two scour a Victorian London filled with steam-powered gadgets in search of the notorious killer Jack the Ripper.

Blaustein has recruited David Hayter, the voice of Solid Snake, for the role of Emma’s brother Jonas.

As of now, there aren’t any video footage or even screenshots available, but if the premise alone sounds interesting to you, you can help Blackmore and iQiOi reach the goal of $200,000 on Kickstarter.
