Sega and Creative Assembly have finally announced Alien: Isolation – a new stealth horror title featuring one Xenomorph and one scared Amanda Ripley. Good thing it’s not another godawful shooter.

As you just saw in the trailer, Alien: Isolation follows in the footsteps of the original Alien movie, and takes a more subtle approach to the whole “woman vs. xenomorph” thing we  know from the movies.

We also know that the game’s description we already uncovered was spot on. Alien: Isolation stars Ellen Ripley’s daughter Amanda as she explores a decommissioned  trading station in search for her mother. The game has only one Alien on board the space station, and Amanda must use everything in her disposal to succeed in her mission and stay alive.

Alien: Isolation is scheduled for late 2014 on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC.

Below you’ll find another video, this time a developers diary, as well as some in-game screenshots.
