Valve has filled a trademark application with the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market. The application was for Half Life 3 – let the hype commence!

According to NeoGAF, the application has been filed by Valve Corporation on September 29, and covers “computer game software”, “video game software” and “downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices.”

This is most likely just a routine step by Valve to maintain ownership of the Half Life IP, but that wouldn’t stop the internet from the exploding. And who know… Maybe there’s something more behind it.
