Electronic Arts CEO Peter Moore has confirmed that Battlefield 4 will go into open beta on October 1. Players who pre-ordered the game will get  “extra-early” access, though EA hasn’t provided a solid date.

The open beta will only include the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of the game.

On other news, the company has revealed the release dates for Battle Field 4 on next-gen consoles. The military shooter will hit the PS4 on November 12 in North America, and November  29 in Europe. Meanwhile, Xbox One will see the game on November 19 in North America, and November 21 in Europe.

Battlefield 4 ships on the Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC on October 29.
