Insomniac has announced a brand new open world game called Sunset Overdrive. This cartoony action game is set in the not-so-distant future where a cataclysmic event has left the world overrun by dangerous mutants.
This, however, doesn’t seem to bother our hero, who discovered that picking up trash or serving food isn’t his real calling – killing mutants is. Watch him do so in the trailer below.
This is the first time Insomniac develops a game exclusively for Microsoft. The studio has worked exclusively with Sony and its consoles in the past, with franchises like Ratchet & Clank and Resistance. Only recently Insomniac released Fuse on both the Xbox 360 and PS3, marking the beginning of Insomniac’s work with Microsoft.
