The Last Guardian is still in development “by an incredibly talented team”, according to game designer Fumito Ueda. Posting on his personal blog, Ueda said that although he has left Japan Studio, he is still very involved in the game’s long development process, which is under his “creative supervision”.
“I should also mention that details regarding The Last Guardian’s release is solely decided by Sony Computer Entertainment, not myself,” Ueda wrote. He then added “Please keep an eye out for their official announcement.” An official announcement? It’s about time!
Sony is indeed planning a big press event in February 20, so maybe there will be some Last Guardian news waiting for us then (or maybe not). In whichever case, come back afterwards for the full coverage.
