Bizarre Creations, the studio behind the arcade racer Blur, has closed its gates in February of 2011 after the game poor performance in retail. Now, the studio’s former art director Chris Davie has released two videos showing footage from what he refers to as an “an unannounced, unfinished project”.
“We were using a whole new engine at this point that had been developed internally, it was really nice tech that we sadly never got to ship a game with,” Davie wrote in his blog.
This newly revealed prototype borrows a lot from the original Blur, as you can clearly see in the first video. The second video is from a version closer to alpha stage, and shows the new engine in action. I have to say it looks pretty impressive and fun, especially the part where you drive on the glass exterior of that huge building.
