Capcom has announced a new IP from french studio Dontnod Entertainment, titled Remember Me. As the title suggests, Remember Me is all about the mysteries of human memory, and what will happen if a person can manipulate, delete or even steal another’s precious memories.

The game takes place in a futuristic version of Paris, in the year 2084, where a corporation called Memoreyes grants people the ability to alter their memories and trade them with each other. A small group of individuals, called the Errorists aren’t too happy with the idea, and are fighting the control of the corporation.

Nilin, Remember Me’s protagonist, is one of those people. As the game starts, she is locked up in the Bastille prison with no memory of who she is or what is her mission. We do know she is a memory-hunter – a person who can break into other people’s memories to delete or alter them to achieve some deadly consequences.

Watch the announcement trailer, plus a 7-minute gameplay video showing Nilin’s remix ability.

Remember me is currently scheduled to release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on May of 2013.
