EA has announced Mass Effect 3 will be a launch title for the Wii U, Nintendo’s upcoming console. The Wii U version will have a new control scheme designed with the Wii U gamepad in mind, and will feature an interactive comic similar to the one in the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2., allowing new players to make their own decisions. All DLC, including the Extended Cut endings, will be available in this version from the get-go.
Speaking of DLC, EA has also revealed a new single-player, story-driven DLC titled Leviathan. The new content will see Commander Shepard and his (or hers) marry bunch travel across the galaxy in hopes of discovering the secrets of a mysterious being rumored to be powerful enough to destroy a Reaper (probably this Leviathan character). No further info about the new DLC was given.
The Leviathan will arrive this summer for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Watch the teaser trailer below (thanks to IGN) and see some screenshots from both the DLC and the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3.
