Limbo’s developer – PlayDead – is working on a new project since 2010, codenamed Project 2.

The very original codename might not reveal anything about the game itself (apart from it being PlayDead’s second big game), but thanks to the Danish Film Institute website we got some first real details about it; in Danish.

Apparently Project 2 is a 2D platformer in a 3D colorful world (yes, the screenshot above can be a bit misleading) that tells the story of “a boy’s struggle against evil forces through questionable experiments on human bodies.” Sounds both gruesome and very promising.

According to the site, PlayDead received £1,000,000 from the DFI in order to bring Project 2 to the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Mac sometime during 2014.
