The new XBLA game for the Kinect, Matter, was announced at this year’s E3, and it even got a first teaser trailer that, to be frank, doesn’t tell us much about it.

Matter is being developed by  Blind Wink Games, but was conceived by Gore Verbinski, the man behind Rango and Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy (what fourth movie?), as a Kinect game that will highlight the player’s emotional connection with their movements on screen.

Feeling a bit confused? Unfortunately, the game’s first trailer doesn’t do anything to explain or show what Matter is all about. It does has a friendly-looking sphere in it being chased by something that can only be described as cyber-spiders.

Matter is a Kinect exclusive game that will be released sometime in 2013.
