Game Informer’s June issue cover reveals The Elder Scrolls Online, an MMO based in the world of Tamriel. The game is being developed by Bethesda’s parent company, Zenimax, and will take place in the universe of The Elder Scrolls series, “from Elsweyr to Skyrim and everywhere in between.”
The Elder Scrolls Online’s story takes place 1,000 years before the event of Skyrim, as the daedric prince Molag Bal tries to take over Tamriel and suck it into his dimension. The magazine promises the game will “merge the unmatched exploration of rich worlds that the franchise is known for with the scale and social aspects of a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. ”
“It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years,” said game director and MMO veteran Matt Firor to GI. “The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.”
Player can also expect a PVP that pits three warring factions against each other, solo questing and public dungeons. Nore inforamtion on the game will be available this June, through Game Informer.

ZeniMax Online Studios’ The Elder Scrolls Online is scheduled to arrive in 2013 for both PC and Mac.
