Tomasz Gop, former senior producer on the Witcher 2, has announced his new project, being developed by City Interactive and Deck 13, codenamed Project RPG.
The name might not be so original, but the game’s plot sure does sound original: The game world is set 1000 years after the death of God, whose corpse has created a huge mountain that splits the world in two. At the beginning of the game, players will have to choose on which side of the fallen god they start, taking into account each side’s philosophy and beliefs.
The only feature currently confirmed by the developers is the New Game Plus option, but they also promised a deep combat system. Project RPG’s combat is inspired by Batman Arkham City, Dark Souls and Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning, and enemies are designed to be identified by their behavior and fighting style, rather by their looks.
The action role-playing is focused on the player’s skill and story-molding actions and playstyle.
Project RPG is set to release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC during 2013.
