In the Wii U version of Assassin’s Creed 3, the WiiPad (or tablet controller) will serve as the player’s link to the Animus. The WiiPad will display a constant map and navigation tools, as well as Animus Database entries and updates.

According to NintenGen, the Wii U’s Animus link can also act as an encyclopedia of game related information and character bios, with the controller’s touchscreen enabling the player to activate Eagle Vision and easily switch weapons.

Assassin’s Creed 3 is set for launch on October 30, for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and the Wii U. Kotaku has published a very long list of all sorts of new information about the game, so you can check it out if you want.
