Epic Games had announced it would preview its brand new Unreal Engine 4 during GDC next week. The next-gen engine will be shown to “select licensees, partners and prospective customers”, all of which will have to sign non-disclosure agreements before seeing it.
Unreal Engine 3 is maybe one of the most common, and most famous, gaming technologies of this generation, powering pretty much everything from Gears of War 3, to Batman: Arkham City, to Mass Effect 3. We are hoping to learn more about Epic’s new engine ASAP, since it is pretty much the future of our beloved video games.
If you haven’t seen it yet, check out this mind-blowing tech demo, titled “The Samaritan”, released at GDC last year.
