Valve have posted on Tuesday on the Portal 2 blog that the beta version of the Portal 2 modding tools have become available to everyone. These are the same modding tools Valve used in creating the game, and they allow users to create single player and co-op maps, new skins for the characters, and more. The tools are now available for download from Steam under the Tools tab, but as we’re talking about a beta here you may experience some bugs while using the tools, which the user are encouraged to report.
Considering the DLC the game is expected to receive this summer and the user generated content that we’ll soon be starting to see, it seems that there will be much to do with Portal 2 over the upcoming months.
