On the official PlayStation forums, the Activision community manager, Dan Amrich, announced that the Guitar Hero series is being moved to the back burner for an indefinite time period, after the release of the song pack for April.
If this comes to you as a surprise you apparently have been playing the game non-stop the last year, during which the series’ sales have dropped significantly (along with its rival series, Rock Band). Activision, of course, isn’t saying it will stop supporting the series completely, as the company said something vague in regards to 2012. In our humble opinions, we will be hearing of the rhythm based genre games much more, just not in the near future.
