Indeed, you’re reading correctly. Warner Bros, in association with Double Helix (which are most commonly known for games such as Silent Hill: Homecoming and Marc Ecko’s Getting Up and less known for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and Front Mission Evolved) are currently working on a video game which will be released alongside (well, ten days before to be exact) the film Green Lantern, starring Ryan Reynolds.

The game, Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, take place apart from the film and presents an entirely different plot line. Hal, the protagonist of the film and the game, attempts to discover what’s hiding behind an assault, of mysterious creatures, on the planet Oa, which acts as HQ for the Green Lantern Corp.

The game will be released on the 7th of June for the DS, Wii, PSP, PS3, XBox 360 and 3DS.
