In an interview given by CEO of Croteam to the site Gamespot not long ago, several screen shots from Serious Sam 3: BFE were revealed alongside some new information about the game. Most of the details that were disclosed were standard for the series: we can expect to see new enemies (such as the sandworm like creature below), new weapons, coop mode for up to 16 players (for the PC. The console games will be slightly smaller) and preserving the tradition of the game to put the players in side open surroundings facing a preposterous amount of enemies. The most noticeable piece of news revealed in the interview is the addition of some sort of new mechanic that has to do with the melee attacks, probably something beyond the usual knife and chainsaw attacks featured in the previous games.
Serious Sam 3: BFE is expected to be released in the summer of 2011 for the PC and as it seems (no official confirmation) for the PS3 and XBox 360 too.
